With the Crackling Voltage event in Pokemon GO coming soon, players worldwide are planning how they will make the most out of this event. The event is a limited time, so they will have to work diligently to ensure they can catch not only all the Pokemon they want but also complete all the Research Tasks.

This also means taking down the Mega Raids that appear during the event in Pokemon GO. One of the Mega Raids that is coming during the Crackling Voltage event in Pokemon GO is Mega Gengar. Mega Gengar is an especially popular Mega Pokemon, especially for its shiny form. So the question is, can you get shiny Mega Gengar in Pokemon GO?

Is Shiny Mega Gengar In Pokemon GO?

During events, Pokemon GO makes it easier for players to catch shiny Pokemon. It makes the event more exciting and it gives players more incentive to participate. After all, shiny Pokemon are very rare and are often difficult to obtain normally. But what about Mega Gengar? Will it even have a chance to be shiny during the Crackling Voltage event?

The answer to that question is yes, it is possible to get shiny Mega Gengar in Pokemon GO during the Crackling Voltage event. During the raid, you will have a chance to encounter a shiny Mega Gengar after you have defeated the Pokemon. Just remember that you will first need to beat the Mega Gengar to even discover if it is shiny or not.

When Can I Get Shiny Mega Gengar In Pokemon GO?

Although shiny Mega Gengar is in fact part of the Crackling Voltage event, that does not mean that once the event starts this Pokemon is immediately available. You will have to wait a couple of days before you will have the chance to shiny hunt this particular Pokemon. If you want shiny Mega Gengar, you will have to wait until February 1st at 10 am local time to do so.

Once that time hits, all the Mega Raids will feature Mega Gengar. Just remember that you will only have until February 8th at 10 am local time to catch Shiny Mega Gengar. Once that time hits, Mega Gengar will disappear from the Mega Raids and you will have lost your opportunity to catch yourself a shiny version of this Pokemon.
