When it comes to taking down Mega Salamance in Pokemon GO, it is all about the Ice-type Pokemon and Ice moves. The fact of the matter is that Mega Salamance is both a Dragon and Flying-type Pokemon. Both of these types are weak to Ice moves, which makes Ice Pokemon the perfect ones to bring to this Mega Raid.

To get even more specific, Galarian Standard Darmanitan, Weavile, Mamoswine, and Glaceon are all Pokemon you should consider for this raid. These are all powerful Ice Pokemon in Pokemon GO and will do 4x super effective damage to Mega Salamance. Bring as many friends as you can to the Mega Salamance raid with Ice-type Pokemon, and this raid should be easy for you to complete.

Catching Mega Salamance is one thing, but now you need to make sure that yours is ready for competitive battles. If the Mega Salamance you catch has 2875 CP, that means it has perfect IVs so be on the lookout for that.

As for the perfect moveset for Mega Salamance, you will want it to have the quick move Dragon Tail and the charge move Outrage. The only problem is that Outrage is an elite charge move which will require a bit more work to get it on Mega Salamance. If not this move set, then you should consider a Mega Salamance with the charge move Draco Meteor over Outrage. In most cases, players consider Draco Meteor to be an acceptable replacement for Outrage, so in general, players do not waste their time trying to get one with Outrage.
