For the Season of Rising Heroes, the month’s Raid Bosses feature returning Legendary Pokémon, in-game debuts, and more Shiny forms.

With the New Year approaching, you can also expect to see a few debuts and returning Pokémon in upcoming Raids and Raid events for the month. We’ve detailed all the five-star, and Mega Raid encounters to anticipate in Pokémon GO for March 2023.

Like with past Raid Battles, this month's five-star Raid Bosses appearing for the month are returning Pokémon, including Ho-Oh and Lugia. Let’s look at all the featured Pokémon you can encounter in five-star Raids for March 2023 in Pokémon GO:

All Pokémon GO Mega Raids For March 2023:

In addition to the five-star Raids for the month, several Pokémon are arriving to Pokémon GO in Mega Raids. These raid encounters are much different from the five-star Raids as they will pit you and your Pokémon line-up against a Mega-evolved Pokémon, and defeating it rewards you with Mega Energy.

Below, we’ve listed all the Pokémon who are appearing in Mega Raids for Pokémon GO in March 2023:

  • Mega Charizard Y: 1st - 8th March 2023 at 10 am local time
  • Mega Medicham: 8th - 21st March 2023 at 10 am local time
  • Mega Venusaur: 21st - 28th March 2023 at 10 am local time
  • Mega Alakazam: 28th March - 10th April 2023 at 10 am local time

This Mega Energy can be specific for a Pokémon or its evolution line as it can temporarily grant them Mega Evolution status. After successfully Mega evolving a Pokémon the first time, it can be Mega evolved without Mega Energy.
