Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How To Get Shiny Munchlax Gift In The Teal Mask DLC

There's a fixed Shiny Munchlax that players can get in Scarlet and Violet, but it will take some work to get it in The Teal Mask.

When it comes to DLC drops in Pokemon, there's usually a lot of new content that is added to the game. On top of all the new Pokemon that have been introduced to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are also returning Pokemon and a load of new items to grab.

The Teal Mask DLC also has a new main story for players to complete for a number of rewards. There are also some fixed encounters that players can stumble across, such as Hisuian Growlithe. One fixed encounter is much harder to get, but a worthy endeavor — Shiny Munchlax. Here, we will teach you how to get Shiny Munchlax in The Teal Mask DLC.

Although players can catch and find Munchlax thanks to the new Teal Mask DLC, there's a guaranteed Shiny Munchlax players can obtain without the usual shiny hunting. This one is hidden away compared to the other fixed encounters, but we're here to help. The key to finding Shiny Munchlax is to play one of the new minigames introduced in The Teal Mask.

Players need to beat Hard Mode in Oger Oustin' to get Shiny Munchlax. Oger Oustin' is a new minigame that can be found at Kitakami Hall when the festival is going on. Players will get a number of rewards for completing Oger Oustin' on either Easy, Normal or Hard Mode. Players must first beat Easy and Normal Modes before they can attempt to get the Shiny Munchlax in Hard Mode. This Munchlax will also have the Crafty Mark and will have the Gluttony Hidden Ability.

Beating Oger Oustin' on your own in Easy Mode is straightforward, but beating the other difficulties is much harder. There are 10 stages of Oger Oustin' in Hard Mode and players will have to put in the work. The key here is that players will need to complete Hard Mode in a group of three or four to win. Doing it alone is basically a guaranteed failure.

Players should divide chores to complete the game. Each player should focus on one berry while one focuses on defending the hoarded berries. Doing this will make Hard Mode for Oger Oustin' a lot easier. Players will need to complete 10 stages of Hard Mode before they can claim a Shiny Munchlax as their reward.
