Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: Can You Get Shiny Hisuian Typhlosion From 7-Star Tera Raid?

If you are hoping to walk away with a shiny Hisuian Typhlosion during this new Tera Raid event, we have the answers you need!
Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: Can You Get Shiny Hisuian Typhlosion From 7-Star Tera Raid?

The newest 7-Star Tera Raid den in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the Tera Fire-type Pokémon, Hisuian Typhlosion. Currently only available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Hisui region, players will need to put in work challenging this powerful enemy if they want to have access to the Fire and Ghost-type Pokémon. However, for a lot of trainers, having the strongest Pokémon is not enough. In order to truly have the most bragging rights possible, the Pokémon in your party need to not only be strong but also be rare.

Hence, the advent of shiny hunting! Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are, perhaps, one of the easiest generations to shiny hunt in, thanks to the introduction of shiny sandwiches and the relative ease it takes to get the shiny charm. However, is it even possible for the new Hisuian Typhlosion to be shiny? If you're curious, we have the answers you need!

Can Hisuian Typhlosion Be Shiny During The 7-Star Event Raid In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet?

No, 7-Star Tera Raid Hisuian Typhlosion is shiny-locked in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and cannot be shiny. Unfortunately, just like all the other 7-Star Tera Raids, Hisuian Typhlosion with the Mightiest Mark will be shiny-locked. Additionally, only one copy of this Pokémon can be caught per save file. Because regular Cyndaquil will evolve into regular Typhlosion in the Paldea Region, it's recommended that everyone grab a copy of this Pokémon if they can. The only other way to get Hisuian Typhlosion is to play Pokémon Legends: Arceus (or trade).

If you're dead set on acquiring a shiny Hisuian Typhlosion, the only way to do so in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is to shiny hunt the starter Cyndaquil in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, evolve it in the Hisui region, and then trade it up to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, this Pokémon will not have the rare Mightiest Mark that the 7-Star Tera Raid event Hisuian Typhlosion will have.

Players will want to bring powerful Water or Rock-type Pokémon to counter this Tera Raid event, such as Hisuian Arcanine, Coalossal, and Hisuian Samurott. Even so, Hisuian Typhlosion will likely be just as much of a challenge to take down as the previous 7-Star Tera Raid Pokémon.

Hopefully, with some strong allies, good coordination, and a little bit of luck, everyone can walk away from the event with at least one copy of this Pokémon.
