How To Get Slakoth In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Are you looking for Slakoth in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? You've come to the right place!
How To Get Slakoth In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Slakoth has always been a beloved Pokémon. While it is very adorable in its first form, Slakoth becomes even more desirable when you know it will evolve into the incredibly powerful Slaking! Unfortunately, finding Slakoth in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is not as easy as you might think. While it is possible to find Vigoroth and Slaking quite easily in the overworld via wild or static encounters, Slakoth is a lot more elusive than its lazy expression would have you believe.

So, if you are trying to complete the Pokédex or just want to add this cute little sloth to your team, you've come to the right place. This article will tell you exactly what you need to do in order to find Slakoth in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

Slakoth is one of the hardest Pokémon to find in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Slakoth can only be found in the wild via headbutting trees with Koraidon or Miraidon. All you need to do is dash at a tree, and Slakoth will fall out, giving you the chance to encounter it. It is possible to inspect trees to see if a Slakoth is resting on the upper branches. Then, you can charge at the tree to knock it down. Sounds easy enough, right?

Unfortunately, Slakoth is an incredibly rare spawn, and it will likely take you several hours to find even one! Unlike Pokémon that appear in the overworld, only one or two Pokémon (or even none in some cases) have a chance of appearing in trees at any one time. This means you first have to get lucky enough to find a Pokémon spawn in the tree, and then you have to pray that you rolled Slakoth for the encounter. Here are the locations where Slakoth will spawn in trees.

  • South Province (Area One)
  • South Province (Area Two)
  • South Province (Area Five)

If you want to add Slaking to your team, it is much easier to evolve a wild Vigoroth or challenge the Tera Slaking static encounter. Additionally, if you just want to find Slakoth to complete your Pokédex, it is much easier to breed Vigoroth or Slaking with a Ditto.

If you are lucky enough to run into a wild Slakoth, it should be low-level enough for you to start throwing Poké Balls at it without weakening it first. Even a low-power attack could end up KOing the Slakoth if you land a Critical Hit, which would mean you have to start the hunt all over again. Good luck!
