Pokemon Unite is filled with many different roles that players can choose and Defenders are essential to gameplay. Having a Defender in the team rotation is essential. This role allows the team to engage against their opponents safely. Defenders can take aggro and provide essential crowd control for thier team.

On top of that, Defenders are good at making sure that their team is safe. Having a good Defender really can be the difference maker between winning and losing. That is why here, we are going to go over who is the best Defender in Pokemon Unite. We will also go over some other good Pokemon that players can try out as well.

Who Is The Best Defender In Pokemon Unite

At the time of this writing, Slowbro is currently the best Defender in Pokemon Unite. Slowbro can store lost HP thanks to its Oblivious Ability making it an absolute HP tank. On top of that, attacking with Water Gun, Scald, Surf, and Slowbeam will decrease the enemy Special Defence by 4% and it can stack up to 5 times.

What really makes Slowbro shine is Telekinesis. Telekinesis makes it so that not only does it completely disable an enemy for a few seconds, but it will recover HP as well. The move Amnesia will also give Slowbro a large amount of Defense as well. Pair this with Scald and Slowbro will be an unstoppable tank in Pokemon Unite.

Other Good Defenders In Pokemon Unite

Umbreon is the second-best Defender in Pokemon Unite. Umbreon is a bit squishier compared to the other Defenders but it can really make it hard for enemies to do much of anything. Umbreon can weaken, stun, and trap enemies easily. What really makes Umbreon shine is the move Foul Play.

Foul Play is stronger the higher attack the opponent has so Umbreon can actaully take down major threats alone if the enemy has scaled too high. Snarl is also a great move to lower the attack of opponents which means that its teammates can survive for longer. Other great defenders to consider in Pokemon Unite are Blastoise, Lapras, and Crustle.
