If you’re trying to fill up your National Dex, then you’ll need a plethora of Generation I Pokémon.

Jigglypuff is one such Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl that requires some special knowledge to encounter. You won’t be able to go out in tall grass or in the Grand Underground randomly to find the pink Pokémon.

Instead, you need to get some random luck to encounter Jigglypuff. You can see exactly what you need to do to catch Jigglypuff in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl below.

In order to catch Jigglypuff, you will need to go to the Pokémon Mansion. This can be found south of Hearthome City, past the police officers and the nice shrubbery. The mansion is on the right side of the route and you can enter to find Jigglypuff.

Before you do that, though, you need to talk to Mr Backlot, the owner of the mansion. He can be found on the right hallway once inside of the mansion, through the door with a lady in front of it. You can talk to him and he will tell you what Pokémon he saw in his Trophy Garden that specific day.

If he tells you that he saw Jigglypuff, you can head out to the Trophy Garden and encounter Jigglypuff. However, if he tells you another Pokémon, you need to wait a day and go back to him. You need to repeat this process until he tells you he saw Jigglypuff. This is the only way to encounter the Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
