Pokémon GO Battle Day Stardust Surprise is coming up with many bonuses and competitions in store.

Pokémon GO Battle Day Stardust Surprise - Schedule, bonuses, more

Pokémon GO holds events all throughout the year; some of them are themed after holidays, while others are simply special events for the community to enjoy. Pokémon GO Battle Day is the latter; it's a random event full of bonuses and competitions.

Pokémon GO Battle Day: Stardust Surprise will take place from 29th May 2022, from 12 am to 11:59 pm local time. Here's what trainers can expect during the event, including event-specific bonuses and competitions.

GO Battle Day Stardust Surprise - Special battles

Players will be able to use Mega-Evolved Pokemon in the Master League during the event. (Image: Niantic)

During the event, all trainers will be able to use Mega-Evolved Pokémon in the GO Battle League Master League. This is in celebration of the recent major updates to Mega Evolution and Mega Raids, which were released back in April.  

GO Battle Day Stardust Surprise - Event bonuses

Trainers will be able to play 20 sets per day, up from the usual limit of 5 sets per day. This way, all players will be able to complete up to 100 battles each day.

And of course, the Stardust Surprise event brings Stardust bonuses. Players will receive 4x Stardust rewards for winning battles throughout the duration of the event.

GO Battle Day Stardust Surprise - Avatar rewards

The Stardust Surprise event will also bring avatar rewards in addition to in-game gameplay bonuses. In order to receive the reward, players will need to complete a set at any rank. Then, they'll receive the Gladion's Pants avatar item instantly. Players who already own the Gladion's Pants avatar item will not be able to receive a reward.

GO Battle Day Stardust Surprise - Competitions

GO Battle Day will also feature a number of competitions in the form of leagues. This event will bring not one, but three leagues for trainers to enjoy. 

The following leagues will be active:

  • Master League
  • Ultra League
  • Great League

Now you know exactly what's going on during the GO Battle Day: Stardust Surprise event. You can join in on the amazing bonuses or battle to the top of the leaderboards in one of the events' competitions on 29th May 2022.
