Pokémon GO May Spotlight Hours - Schedule, featured Pokémon, more

Each week on Tuesday afternoon, Pokémon GO hosts a Spotlight Hour in the game. These Spotlight Hours put the "spotlight" on a particular Pokémon, causing them to appear more often in the wild and granting players special bonuses for catching them.

The schedule for May 2022 Spotlight Hours has been released, including both the Pokémon that will be featured as well as the bonuses for catching them.

Here is the Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour schedule for May 2022. We'll go over which Pokémon trainers will be able to catch and their accompanying bonuses.

Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour Schedule - May 2022

Spotlight Hour takes place once a week in Pokémon GO on Tuesdays from 6 to 7 pm local time.

The Pokémon featured during Spotlight Hour will appear more often in the wild for that hour, some of them also in their Shiny varieties.

The following Pokémon will be featured during the month of May 2022:

Wingull, Magikarp, and Seel will all be available to catch in their Shiny form. Each of the five featured Pokémon has an evolution, and Niantic has stated that participating in the full Spotlight Hour should net players enough candies to complete the full evolution line of each Pokémon.

Players will even be able to evolve Magikarp into Gyrados, one of the Pokémon able to Mega Evolve and therefore take advantage of recent updates to Mega Evolution.

Those are all of the Pokémon that will be honored during Spotlight Weeks throughout May 2022. Trainers will be able to catch all of these Pokémon more often in the wild throughout the duration of their own Spotlight Hour.
