Grand Larceny event and Stolen Goods mode welcome surprise for R6: Siege fans

Ubisoft has been going from one disaster to another with Rainbow Six Siege but new game mode and event could win the player base back.
Grand Larceny event and Stolen Goods mode welcome surprise for R6: Siege fans

The Siege community has been up in arms recently, with everything from server troubles, to rampant cheating, and persistent tinkering of the game's Operators in a way that radically changes the meta.

It's all been a bit of a disaster for the game's developer, Ubisoft, but some goodwill could be coming their way with the release of a new event and game mode. The Grand Larceny event with its accompanying Stolen Goods game mode looks to bring some of the fun back to the game and put a smile on player's faces.

The two-week event has a wild west theme and will see players restricted usually only shotguns - with some characters who can't equip them excluded.

Players will jump into a reworked version of the Hereford Base map and duke it, 5v5 with attackers tasked with finding and opening a number of safes. Defenders will have to stop them.

The operators not available in the mode are as follows:

Attackers

  • Kali
  • Nomad
  • Lion
  • Blackbeard
  • Buck
  • Montagne
  • Twitch
  • Blitz
  • IQ
  • Glaz

Defenders

  • Tachanka
  • Mozzie
  • Clash
