The Alchemist is one of the hidden archetypes in Remnant 2. Its abilities revolve around nullifying status effects, increasing defense, and giving buffs like reload, movement, and melee attack speed, making it a perfect support class.

The best part about using the Alchemist is its archetype skill, Vial: Elixir of Life, which not only gives you health regen and has the potential to revive downed teammates instantly while shrouding them in an aura that protects them from all attacks for 180 seconds.

So if you are interested in using the Alchemist as a primary or secondary archetype in your build, this guide will help you out as we walk you through details on how you can unlock the Alchemist archetype in Remnant 2 while detailing its skills, passives, and traits.

How To Unlock The Alchemist In Remnant 2

In Remnant 2, you can unlock the Alchemist using the Philosopher's Stone Engram that you can craft at Wallace using the item called Mysterious Stone, which you obtain through a hidden encounter in the Losomn biome

Since Remnant 2 has most of its game world and encounters procedurally generated, we were unsure if obtaining the Mysterious Stone was limited to the Losomn biome or if you could get it in different versions of a different biome.

But, thanks to Co-Op, we found out that each biome in the game offers a hidden archetype:

  • Losomn -> The Alchemist
  • Yaesha -> Summoner
  • N'Erud -> Engineer
  • Root Earth -> Invader

So, the conclusion is you can obtain the Mysterious Stone only in the Losomn biome. You may have to reroll the Losomn biome to trigger the hidden encounter.

Tips: We recommend using Adventure mode for rerolling biomes.

To get the Mysterious Stone in Remnant 2, make your way to the marked location in Morrow Parish, Losomn biome.

Once you are there, pick up the crafting material on the ground. As soon as you do that, a beast named Manticora grabs your feet, and the screen blackens out.

When you wake up, you will find yourself in the beast's lair, move forward, and the beast will attack you. Defeating him will reward you with the Mysterious Stone
