The best unit in Anime Final Strike has to be Yuneko. While he is a Mythical support unit, he is the absolute best in the class for generating in-game cash and energy. This will not only let you generate tons of useful resources but also help your team upgrade expensive units quickly.
Vesh is another great unit in Anime Final Strike, especially for combat and farming. He deals decent damage that has a really good AoE, with a super-fast attack cooldown. You can actually make him even stronger by pairing him with Yuneko, so it might be worthwhile adding both units to your team.

Here are all the best units in Anime Final Strike. I would suggest focusing only on the characters in the S-Tier, A-Tier, and B-Tier, as the remaining units aren't that great. You can do this by collecting gems—this will be your currency for obtaining new character banners, as well as rerolling and upgrading them.
You can obtain gems in Anime Final Strike via redeem codes, but also by progressing through the Story Mode. For example, you can get around 800 gems by running Meadow solo (to Wave 40), or 500 gems daily by completing missions in the Battle Pass, or 1000 gems weekly for reaching unit milestones.
