The Plasma mutation in Grow A Garden is a limited-time, high-value crop mutation that you can only get by participating in a secret Laser Event. During this event, an ape-like character named Jantel appears and literally shoots lasers from his eyes across the map.

To get the Plasma mutation, you need to be online during this event, and one of Jantel’s laser beams must hit your garden plot. If that happens, one of your crops will mutate into a Plasma version. It doesn’t happen every time, but when it does, you’ll know because it will glow bright pink.

Now, here’s what it does: the Plasma mutation will give your crop a 5x sell value multiplier. That means if a crop normally sells for 1,000 Sheckles, the Plasma version will go for 5,000. It's not as lucrative as the Disco mutation (125x sell value), but it's still a nice boost to your income.

And that's everything about the Plasma mutation in Grow A Garden. You cannot trigger it on your own. So, if you missed it, there's currently no way to obtain it again unless the devs re-run the event in the future.
