To obtain the Boat unit in Anime Last Stand, players must utilize Portals, a relatively recent addition to the game's mechanics. Understanding the tiers of Portals is crucial when unlocking units like Boat, so let's delve into how they function first.

Portals are items obtainable as drops from Bosses in Story, Infinite, or Challenge mode. They are categorized into six tiers, each transporting players to a version of a Story mode stage with increased enemy HP. The extra HP varies based on the Portal's tier:

  • Tier 1 – 0% extra HP.
  • Tier 2 – 25% extra HP.
  • Tier 3 – 50% extra HP.
  • Tier 4 – 150% extra HP.
  • Tier 5 – 200% extra HP.
  • Secret Tier – 200% extra HP.

Upon completing a Portal, there's a chance to receive another Portal as a reward, typically of a higher tier than the one used. For instance, clearing a tier 4 Portal may yield a tier 5 Portal as a reward.

Aside from Portal drops, players receive additional rewards, including the Boat unit. The Boat unit's drop rate is based on the Portal's tier, starting at tier 3 and increasing up to the Secret tier:

  • Tier 3 Portals offer a 3% chance to obtain the Boat unit.
  • Tier 4 Portals increase the chance to 4%.
  • Tier 5 Portals provide a 5% chance to acquire the Boat unit.
  • Secret Portals offer the highest chance at 6%.

To enhance the chances of obtaining the Boat unit, players should focus on farming tier three and above Portals. While higher tiers generally yield better results, Boat can still drop from tier 3 Portals, depending on RNG.
