The Player Race in Verse Piece is one of the most unique unlocks in the game right now—but getting it isn’t as simple as clicking a button. You’ll need to trek through Verse Town and survive a deadly (and slightly ridiculous) challenge involving repeated death inside the Double Dungeon.
It’s chaotic, it’s grindy, and it’s not for the faint of heart, but once you get it, you’ll unlock a whole new system that sets you apart from the crowd. Here’s how to unlock the Player Race in Verse Piece.
How To Complete Player Race Quest In Verse Piece
To unlock the Player Race in Verse Piece, you'll first need to go to Verse Town. This is where you'll find a new NPC (as seen in the image below). Talk to them and accept the Player quest. From there, head straight into the Double Dungeon. You'll find the entrance on Runes Island.
You'll need a Blessing Stone before you enter, though. You can take down the Sakuna Boss in Verse Town to grab one. After entering the Double Dungeon, you must let the Statue of God kill you 25 times within a 5-minute window. To speedrun your deaths, pick a crummy trait, so you have less survivability.
The Statue of God Boss will only appear after the 5th wave, though, so make sure you stick around until then. After that, a System message will appear, reading "Become a player... or face immediate death." When you hit “Accept,” you will unlock the Player Race in Verse Piece.
That's everything to know about how to unlock the Player Race in Verse Piece. The devs warned of potential data loss tied to Double Dungeons, so stash any irreplaceable loot and maybe wait for the hotfix if you’re paranoid!
