Rocket League Revamps World Championship Bundle Payouts

Rocket League-style cars compete under championship arena lights in a dramatic esports scene.

The Rocket League World Championship Bundle is back for the 2026 season finale, and this time 70% of net sales goes straight to the top 20 competing teams based on final placement, with the remaining 30% funding individual player awards. Priced at 1,100 Credits, the bundle runs from 1 September through 23 September, with net sales calculated after taxes, payment processing and console platform fees, according to Rocket League Esports.

The new split is a direct response to backlash from the Paris Major, where teams collectively got half the bundle revenue while the other half went to just three statistical award winners. Cristian “crr” Raigal, Ole “oaly.” Door and Nick “Chronic” Iwanski each pocketed $91,657.50 from those categories, despite Axel “Vatira” Touret playing more than double the games and finishing second in average goals per game without seeing a cent of the individual pool.

How the Payouts Break Down

Under the new system, statistical awards for Best Striker, Best Playmaker and Best Savior are restricted to players from the top eight teams, closing the loophole that let small sample sizes skew results. Three panel-voted honours — Tournament MVP, Finals MVP and Breakthrough Performance — split the player pool equally, alongside nine statistical payout spots across the three categories. Rocket League hasn’t detailed exactly how the 30% player allocation splits across those 12 positions. The bundle itself packs the Head Turner Universal Decal, Primetime Wheels and Blue Chip Boost.

What’s Next for the World Championship

A companion limited-time event also launches 1 September, unlocking Octane and Dominus decals, a Goal Explosion, the “Heartless” Player Title and six Apex Collection Drops. Twitch and TikTok reward campaigns follow from 15 to 28 September, requiring linked accounts or 15 minutes of watch time respectively. It’s the first real stress test for the revised model, right as the World Championship and the wider Rocket League esports scene head into their biggest weeks of the year.
