RLCS 2021-22 season: Prize pool, format, schedule, more

The Rocket League Championship Series is back and it’s bigger and better than ever!
It’s official: the Rocket League Championship Series is back in full force after wrapping up last season back in June of 2021.

After almost four gruelling months, organisers and developers Psyonix have provided us with all the details regarding the biggest car soccer event of the year, the revamped RLCS.

With much speculation around new esports cosmetics, questions around prize pool and the of course if there will be a LAN at all during the year, here’s everything you need to know about the RLCS 2021 - 2022 season.

RLCS 2021 - 2022 season start date and duration

The RLCS 2021/22 season will run from 15th October 2021 to 31st July 2022. Dates are subject to change. Here’s a full breakdown of the Splits including Regionals, Majors and the World Championship:

Fall Split

  • NA, MENA, OCE, APAC S Regional #1: 15-17th October
  • EU, SAM, APAC N Regional #1: 22-24th October
  • NA, MENA, OCE, APAC S Regional #2: 29-31th October
  • EU, SAM, APAC N Regional #2: 5-7th November
  • NA, MENA, OCE, APAC S Regional #3: 12-14th November
  • EU, SAM, APAC N Regional #3: 19-21th November
  • Major: 8-12th December
  • Transfer window: 13th December 2021 - 2nd January 2022

  • Transfer window: 28th March - 17th April

Spring Split

World Championship

  • Wildcard: 22-24th July
  • Main Event: 26-31st July

RLCS 2021/22 season format

The RLCS 2021/22 will have three splits just like RLCS X divided as Fall, Winter and Spring Splits. 

The Fall Split will have a 16-team Swiss format leading to an eight-team single-elimination bracket, the Winter Split will have a four-group Group Stage that will lead to a double-elimination bracket and the Spring Split will have a good ol’ double-elimination bracket.

RLCS 2021/22 season prize pool

The RLCS 2021/22 season will have a total prize pool of ,000,000 USD for the entirety of the 10-month campaign. The way the prize pool will be shared across Regionals, Majors and the World Championship is still unknown at the time of writing.

RLCS 2021/22 season - how to watch
