Rogue Company's newest member Sigrid is revealed, first look at new Glacier map

Hi-Rez, the studio behind Rogue Company, has given players a first look at the game's latest Rogue - Sigrid, a highly trained former special forces operator based out of Europe.

With an array of gadgets, abilities and skills designed to "punch through enemy defences", Sigrid is all about being in first and getting out last.

Her primary weapons will be the D40C SMG and S12 Tactical Shotgun perfect for getting up close and shredding.

The video above also gives players a first look at her gadgets, perks, and abilities, however after the release of the video Hi-Rez clarified that the footage was recorded before internal testing threw up some balancing issues, with the developers confirming that changes have been made to both her perks and gadgets.

  • Ballistic Shield: Blocks all incoming damage from the front.

• Passive Ability:
  • Athletic: Immune to slowing effects and moves faster while crouched.

Gone are the Frag Grenades to be replaced with Semtex. While in Perks, Helping Hand and Replenish are gone in place of Lifeline and Tenacity. 

These perks, particularly Tenacity, plus the Ballistic Shield could prove to be deadly (overpowered?) in the right hands and it will be interesting to see how exactly Sigrid performs when she enters the game.

One thing to note is her shield will have a timer on it similar to Lancer's Quick and Quiet or Scorcher's Overheat.

Also on show was the games ninth and latest map, Glacier.

Set on a vessel out in the Arctic seas Glacier will feature "frantic close-quarters combat, quick rotations, and generous flanking opportunities."

The map will also look to expand the lore around Rogue Company. The ship has been taken over by the Jackals, a group in opposition to the Rogues boasting similar equipment and resources.

There is no official release date for this content however those with test keys have the option to download it so it should be available to all in the next week or so.
