How To Get The Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol In Sea Of Thieves?

The Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol is one of two new weapons arriving to Sea of Thieves courtesy of the upcoming Season 12 update landing onto consoles and PC on 30th April 2024. This content update will coincide with the game's PlayStation port release on the same day when players can play with more friends online to explore the new content through cross-play support.

As revealed during the Sea of Thieves 2024 Preview Event livestream, which highlighted the new weapons added, the Throwing Knives and the Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol hope to unlock "new tactical choices and strategies" during their epic adventures. A double-barrel pistol has been one of the few requested weapons players had hoped to be added to Sea of Thieves due to players' dissatisfaction with the inaccuracy of the Blunderbuss.

The aforementioned Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol is a short-range weapon that releases rapidly fired shots at enemies and eliminates them quickly when paired with another weapon. This weapon allows players to fire two shots consecutively before reloading the weapon. However, if they want more firepower to eliminate enemies, they can fire the same two shots simultaneously to increase the damage dealt.

As for how they can acquire the Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol, the developer hasn't confirmed it yet, but we do have a few possibilities. The obvious answer would be visiting the Weaponsmith Shop, located at most Outpost islands throughout the world, where weapons and cosmetic variants can be acquired using Doubloons.

Another option is to find the Pirate Emporium, which can be accessed within the in-game Menu, or the Order of Souls tents, where this shop is located above it. The Pirate Emporium offers a selection of unique items, including weapons, and requires players to spend Ancient Coins to make purchases.

Once they've acquired the Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol, they can equip it to their pirate at the Armory before using the weapon. The Armory can be found just beyond the Blacksmith's Shop at most Outpost islands or on the lower deck of their Ship in-game, where they can access the Menu, scroll through the weapons, and select the pistol to equip it.
