What is the Sea of Thieves Plunder Pass?

The Season 3 Plunder Pass works exactly the same as the previous two plunder passes.

It offers a variety of cosmetic items for a small price that can be unlocked by playing the game and increasing your Renown.

Unlike similar battle pass systems in other games, all of the Plunder Pass items can be purchased through the Emporium (in-game shop), but for a significantly higher price.

The idea behind the Plunder Pass system is that players who want to spend some money can get a set of curated items for a tempting price, while also being able to use several of the brand new items early, which will be added to the Emporium at a later date.

The Season 3 Plunder Pass is available for 999 Ancient Coins, or around $9.99, depending on your region. If you are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you will get an additional discount.

Developers state that Plunder Pass items are worth around $40 if bought them separately from the Pirate Emporium.

The Season 3 Plunder Pass includes several brand new items that are yet to become available in the Pirate Emporium, as well as a set of selected and popular items from the Pirate Emporium's current stock.

New items currently only available through the Season 3 Plunder Pass include the Shining Pegasus Banjo costume, Thunderous Fury Flag, Figurehead and Sails for your ship, Versatile Weapon Pose, Gold Pouch Trick Emotes, and more.

In total, the Season 3 Plunder Pass comes with 11 all-new cosmetic items, which have never previously appeared in the Pirate Emporium.
