The Silent Hill 2 Remake release date window has seemingly leaked thanks to the lead actor for the game's protagonist, James Sunderland. A fan sent Luke Roberts a DM asking exactly when we could expect to see the game release, and to that fan's surprise, he replied.
As noted over on ResetEra, Roberts replied with
"Early next year I believe"
This conflicts with previous leaks from an Australian Retailer that seemed to indicate that the game would be released on September 29, 2023. If Roberts is accurate, and it's hard to believe that he's not considering that he's the main star of the game, then that would be confirmation that the previous leak was false.
It was confirmed recently that Bloober Team, the developers of Silent Hill 2 Remake, are done with making psychological horror games, and are looking to make Silent Hill 2 their big introduction of what to expect from the future of Bloober Team, which raises questions as to what type of game it'll actually be.
