Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s Pyra and Mythra join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The latest Nintendo Direct revealed the next DLC character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the next fighter joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Announced during the Nintendo Direct, Pyra and Mythra will be able to swap freely between one another during matches - presumably with different movesets for each.

A trailer also shows off the stage from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which features the main protagonist Rex in the background too.

Pyra and Mythra were given a vague March release date, so it's likely we'll hear more soon in the customary presentation with creator Masahiro Sakurai.

Mythra has also joined

This is the fourth DLC character from Fighters Pass 2, following Min Min from ARMS, Minecraft’s Steve and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.

There are two more fighters yet to be announced, which are expected to be rolled out before the end of 2021.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available on Nintendo Switch.
