Even though, as everyone knows, the internet really loves cats, there haven't really been any great feline-based games, until 19th July 2022 when Stray releases on PlayStation and PC. For the latter platform, minimum and recommended system requirements are important details to consider. Thankfully, the Stray PC specs should leave most gamers purring.

You will need to meet the minimum PC specs for Stray if you want to take on the role of a stray cat, separated from its family on a quest to untangle an ancient mystery in a "long-forgotten" cybercity.

To find your way home, the first step to take is making sure your PC is up to the task of running Stray.

First up, Stray requires Windows 10 to run, which is pretty standard these days. This, alongside DirectX 12 are really the only true "modern" minimum requirements for those on PC.

As you can see from Stray's official PC specs, most gamers should have no issue playing the game, especially considering that the minimum GPU required could probably be found in some litter boxes in 2022.

Stray PC download/file size

Put away that catnip if you think Stray has a huge file size. Despite looking excellent, and the decaying cybercity having quite a bit of detail, Stray's file/download size on PC via Steam is tiny.

The Stray file size on PC according to the game's Steam page is only 10 GB. Keep in mind that this includes the space required for the installation process, so the game's actual file/download size might be even smaller.
