Street Fighter V is more alive than ever before. New mechanics, a fifth season of DLC to spice things up, and the return of the Capcom Pro Tour promise fighting games fans an exciting rest of the year. 

Despite the company's best efforts, the previous Capcom Cup had to be scrapped in favour of regional finals, however, as the pandemic slows down, the premier SFV event is set to make a return, with the best players from across the world looking to qualify during the CPT.

Without further ado, let's get to everything you need to know about the Capcom Pro Tour 2021.

CPT 2021 - Schedule and format

Similar to last year, this time the Capcom Pro Tour will be divided by regions, with online tournaments determining pros that will participate in the upcoming Capcom Cup.

For this edition, the number of qualifying players has been bumped to 32, with 31 regional tournaments scheduled all the way through early 2022.

The way to determine the final participant is still undetermined but it could be via a community vote like in previous editions.

CPT 2021 - Prize pool

Capcom announced that each regional tournament will have a $5,000 prize pool, with the money being divided amongst the top four of every event.
