Street Fighter 6 Game Modes: Battle Hub, Fighting Ground & World Tour

Capcom's upcoming fighting game, Street Fighter 6, promises to provide multiple gaming experiences for players in and out of combat. Featuring a roster of 18 new and returning characters, you will also be given to learn and explore more skills through the various game modes.

These new adventures allow players to play how they want by customizing their character, playstyles, skills, and more when navigating these game modes. This guide explores all the game modes included and how they work in Street Fighter 6.

All Street Fighter 6 Game Modes

With new and returning characters, improved gameplay mechanics, and new features, Capcom has confirmed three game modes that will be included in Street Fighter 6 at launch. Each game mode offers players a different gameplay experience, allowing them to showcase their fighting capabilities.

Along with the traditional one-on-one combat mode, the developer revealed three additional game modes in which players can try their hand (and fighting skills) with any of the 18 base playable characters. These game modes will complement players' needs, playstyle, and gameplay experiences, bringing something for every type of fighter.

Street Fighter 6 Battle Hub Mode

The Battle Hub is one of the more exciting game modes coming to Street Fighter 6, where players can meet up and hang out with other players online. Bringing more social aspects to the game, the Battle Hub allows you to add or transfer your custom avatar from another game mode, World Tour, which can have 100 players in this shared space.

While exploring the Battle Hub, you can engage in various in-game activities, including battling each other in PvP fights by accessing the Battle Cabinets or watching these fights. There will also be multiple game titles available to play at these cabinets when visiting the Game Center, where you can compete with other players to get high scores or go on a shopping spree to customize your avatar at the Hub Goods Shop.

Additionally, you can participate in online tournaments or communicate with each other through its chat feature using texts and emojis. This also sees a massive update to the Capcom Fighters Network (CFN), which lets you manage your friends' list, browse for other fighters, watch match replays, and view the current rankings.

It also introduces a new feature for the CFN, the Fighters Club, that lets you find players online or meet up with your friends by creating or joining clubs. You can set or adjust club settings, design club logos, and create unique threads for club members.

Street Fighter 6 Fighting Ground Mode

The Fighting Ground mode is the primary mode for all battles in its true PvP form, where you can test your battle skills against other players. You can select the type of matches you wish to engage in from one-on-one, team battles, online battles, which support cross-platform play, ranked and casual matches, and the custom room.

This mode also adds to the extreme battle, which sees players battling each other with unique match settings, which gives you a different match experience from the traditional one-on-one matches. Not to be left behind, the Arcade serves as the game's story mode as you battle against CPU opponents while exploring each character's backstory and unlocking unique artworks accessed from the Gallery.

Your score accumulated in Arcade will be added to the rankings system, which can be viewed as players look to see who is the best fighter in the world. The Training Menu is also back for Street Fighter 6, which has been tweaked since Street Fighter 5, as you can practice with your chosen character or hang out while waiting for the next online match.

There are new features to try out at the Training Menu as Capcom plans to launch new additions later, so do visit it when you have the time. Additionally, you can play the tutorial to catch up with all the new mechanics, features, and settings added to the game or refresh your battle-trained skills before heading out to your next match.

Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode

The World Tour is the final game mode for Street Fighter 6, where players can explore a more immersive gameplay experience. If the Battle Hub serves as the game's online hangout hub and the Fighting Ground is the main battling mode, the World Tour is the game's single-player offering that adds RPG elements where your created avatar explores the world to determine their true strength and its meaning.

You will experience various trails and challenges while exploring the world and encounter characters while leveling your avatar, personalizing them, and tailor fit their skill tree to meet your fighter's needs. You can also purchase new cosmetics and acquire power-ups to assist you in battle.

This mode will allow you to get trained or mentored by any legendary fighter to learn various fighting styles and unique attacks. This will deepen the bonds between your avatar and your mentor, from whom you can also learn master actions that will aid you in your travels, and you can offer them gifts to better your friendship with your master.

The final Street Fighter 6 Open Beta will run from 19th to 21st May 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will officially launch on 2nd June 2023 for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with an arcade edition launching later this year.
