Before Street Fighter 6 releases globally on June 2, Capcom is conducting its open beta in which eligible players can participate to play with various characters and features of the game. The content available in the open beta will be the same as that of the closed beta held in December 2022 and will feature eight playable characters, open tournaments, character creation, and more. 

Street Fighter 6 open beta will be available across all multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Here is everything you need to know about Street Fighter 6 open beta, including its release date, preloading details, participation requirements, and more.

Street Fighter 6 open beta will begin on May 19 at 00:00 PDT // 07:00 UTC and will run till May 21 (24:00 PDT) // May 22 (07:00 UTC). However, you will be able to preload it starting from May 16 at 00:00 PDT // 07:00 UTC so that you can download most of the required data in advance and jump into the game once the open beta begins. 

How To Play Street Fighter 6 Open Beta

In order to participate in Street Fighter 6, you need to first meet the following eligibility requirements.

  • Meet the age requirements to play based on the game rating system used in your region
  • Your system must meet the following minimum system requirements for PC and should have PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with at least 25 GB of free space. 
    • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit required)
    • CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200
    • MEMORY: 8GB
    • VRAM: 4GB or higher
    • GPU: GTX1060 / Radeon RX 580
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 25GB
  • Register a CAPCOM ID and link your PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox X|S platform account. You can register your CAPCOM ID here and can link your platform account here.

Once the open beta is released, CAPCOM will release the download links for all the platforms, and you can download the game on your system and launch it to play open beta. In the meantime, you can have a look at the announcement trailer of Street Fighter 6 Open Beta below.
