When Do McDonald's Super Mario Bros. Movie Happy Meals Come Out?

During The Game Awards 2022, Nintendo and Illumination showcased their second trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie. The movie was originally set to release in December 2022, but its release date was recently pushed back to March 2023. While many fans were disappointed to hear about the long wait ahead, there is some good news in store: Super Mario Bros. Movie Happy Meals are coming to McDonald's, and fans can get their hands on exclusive themed toys.

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming Nintendo x McDonald's collaboration, including what toys will be offered and when you can get them.

Many countries, including McDonald's UK and Ireland, Japan, and Chile, will offer Super Mario. Bros Happy Meals ahead of the movie's release. Because McDonald's UK and Ireland pledged to eliminate plastic toys from their kids' meals, though, their offerings will look a little different.

Eight new Happy Meal toys are coming to McDonald's Japan, including the following characters in the form of plastic figurines:

  • Luigi
  • Peach
  • Toad
  • Donkey Kong
  • Bowser
  • Luma
  • Mario (2 versions)

A TV advertisement for the toys in Chile was released earlier this month. The Chile toys include figurines of the following characters, as well as a figurine of each one with a motorcycle:

  • Bowser
  • Luigi
  • Mario
  • Toad
  • Peach
  • Donkey Kong

McDonald's UK and Ireland will offer Super Mario Bros.-themed paper craft kits, which appear to feature Peach, Mario, Toad, Donkey Kong, and Luigi.

When Do McDonald's Super Mario Bros. Movie Happy Meals Come Out?

Fans from the UK hoping to score a Super Mario Bros. Movie Happy Meal only need to wait until 4th January 2023.

In Japan, the toys will be released starting 23rd December 2022.
