Escape from Tarkov has been updated with Patch 13.5 and bought plenty of new weapons to the battlegrounds, including FPS fan favorite, the AK-12. Despite most people being begrudged at the thought of having a new AK variant, the AK-12 is an incredibly unique weapon because it is such a modern adaption of the AK-47 (1947), with the AK-12 being built in 2012.
The AK-12 is used frequently in modern combat and has been requested heavily by the Escape from Tarkov community. The AK-12 is chambered in 5.45×39, making it significantly easier to handle and use fully automatic in comparison to its original model of 1947, being chambered in 7.62×39. This guide will show you how to make a Killa loadout!
Best AK-12 Build in Escape from Tarkov
The AK-12 is a great tactical assault rifle, allowing you to use the weapon at both long, medium, and close-quarter battles. The use of 5.45×39 provides a light and more agile experience recoil-wise, meaning burst firing the gun is more acceptable and easier to hit your targets.
The loadout has been designed for adaptivity. However, it will come at fault within point-blank situations due to the suppressor elongating the barrel size. Here is the following build for the best AK-12 loadout:
| Part Type | Attachment Name |
| Foregrip | Zenit RK-2 Tactical foregrip |
| Suppressor | AK-12 5.45×39 sound suppressor |
| Scope | Leupold Mark 4 HAMR 4×24 DeltaPoint Hybrid assault scope |
| Additional scope | Leupold DeltaPoint Reflex Sight |
| Handguard rail | RPK-16 handguard rail |
| Flashlight | Zenit Klesch-2U tactical flashlight |
| Stock | AK-12 stock |
Overall, this build is an excellent piece of tactical weaponry, costing players approximately 200k roubles to design and fulfill within the Flea market. This weapon will act as a great companion on every Escape from Tarkov map due to the bullet caliber, low recoil, and ease of change.
Please note that the pistol grip, stock, barrel, and handguard are all stock preset and haven’t been changed. This is because we’re happy with the statistics and performance of the weapon. The AK-12 is rather similar to the RPK-16 in this respect; not too much needs changing.
