According to the CD Projekt Red, the delayed release of the next-generation edition of The Witcher 3 will occur thanks to a change in the team working on the project.

Developer Saber Interactive was in charge of the project, but starting 13th April, CD Projekt Red will complete the rest of the project in-house, utilizing their own team members.

"We have decided to have our in-house development team conduct the remaining work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," CD Projekt Red posted on the official The Witcher Twitter account. "We are currently evaluating the scope of work to be done and thus have to postpone Q2 release until further notice."

CD Projekt Red did not announce why they made the change.
