Riot Games Reveals New Arcane Bridging The Rift Docuseries

Riot Games' hit animated series Arcane, produced in partnership with studio Fortiche, will release a new five-part docuseries, Arcane: Bridging the Rift. The series will broadcast on YouTube this summer and explores everything from the original idea of creating Arcane to its final delivery.

For the uninitiated, Arcane was created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee for Netflix and was inspired by the popular MOBA game League of Legends. The show is part of a larger expansion of the game's fictional universe, Runeterra, and has earned worldwide acclaim following multiple awards.

Here's everything you need to know about Arcane: Bridging the Rift, including when it releases, how to watch, and more.

What is Arcane: Bridging the Rift?

Arcane: Bridging the Rift is an upcoming five-part docuseries that discusses the inception of the hit nine-time Annie Award winning animated series, Arcane. The docuseries explores the many hurdles in bringing the show to life. It also goes behind the scenes of the making and delivery of Arcane on Netflix.

The series blew up when it premiered on Netflix in November last year, holding the spot on the platform for three consecutive weeks and reaching the Top 10 in over 50 countries. The show was so good that it even achieved a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes -- super impressive!

Since airing, Arcane has won nine Annie Awards, including but not limited to Best TV show, Best Character Design, and Best Screenplay. Even the show's lead theme, "Enemy," written and performed by Imagine Dragons, blew up, surpassing 1 billion streams and hitting the #1 spot on the Billboard charts.
