Boaster shares his thoughts on Pearl map pick in Valorant Champions 2022 during the pre-event press conference.
Fnatic Boaster - Picking Pearl In Valorant Champions Will Be A Brave Move

Valorant Champions 2022 will be starting today, i.e., on 31st August, and during its pre-event media press conference that took place on 30th August, Jake "Boaster" Howlett, the IGL of Fnatic's Valorant roaster, shared his thoughts about Pearl map and its pick rate in the tournament.

Rabia from Ginx TV asked Boaster, "Now that Pearl will be included in Valorant Champions, how will it affect the overall meta, and are you ready for it? Also, how much do you think it will be picked?"

In response, Boaster said, "I would say I like Pearl. I think it's a common occurrence that Fnatic wins every new map that comes out; we seem to be alright at them other than Breeze. But hopefully, this is the case where we are good as well."

He further added, "It's hard to say if teams are going to be picking it, and it's hard to kind of see how good they are because it's so new and no one at this level other than a few NA games I guess has really kind of shown what's going on that map in terms of its meta. So, yeah, it's kind of cool that we get to play a new map potentially, and I am looking forward to it. I think the teams will pick it. I don't know if it will be any team's kind of first pick. They got to have massive bravery to pick Pearl, that's for sure."
