The former kings of Europe have plans to revamp their Valorant roster.
G2's Valorant roster reportedly set for massive overhaul

According to a report from neL at 1pv, G2 Esports plan to revamp their team, with Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas and Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi being the only two members to remain active on the roster.

This would mean the benching of Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks, Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski, and Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt.

G2 was once considered to be the best Valorant team in EU; attaining a first-place finish at each of the first six events they attended back in 2020. But soon the cracks in their armour would begin to show, and the team would tie with FunPlus Phoenix in 3rd-4th place at First Strike: Europe. This was followed by an early exit from all three Challengers events in Stage 1 of VCT Europe, and an inability to qualify for Masters 2 in the two most recent Challengers events.

In an attempt to return to their former glory, G2 is reportedly looking into Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas and Auni "AvovA" Chahade from Team Heretics as potential candidates for their new and improved roster. As well as Acend’s IGL Jose Luis "koldamenta" Aranguren and Alex "ALEX" McMeekin from Cloud9’s former CS:GO roster as possible choices to head the team.

No official roster changes have been made as of yet.
