How To Appear Offline In Valorant

If you want to queue up without anyone noticing in Valorant, you'll have to download some third-party software. Read to know how to appear offline in Valorant.
How To Appear Offline In Valorant

Valorant is usually enjoyed more with a squad of friends to experience the highs and lows of competitive play or the relaxed session of other non-ranked modes that Valorant offers.

However, there are also times when you instead prefer to enjoy a solo-queue session for whatever reason. Perhaps you're doing a challenge to see how you can rank up on your own, or you just logged in to check out the daily store rotation, or (most likely) to dodge that one friend that keeps bottom fragging every game.

Dealing with invites and messages as soon as you're online can become a nuance for some, so plenty of Valorant fans wonder if there is a way to log in to the game without showing up "online" on your friends' list.

Can You Show Up Offline In Valorant?

The answer is yes, there is a way to keep your status "offline" while playing Valorant, but the process is not as straightforward as you might think. To play Valorant incognito, you need to download a third-party software called Deceive.

This program will let you log in to Valorant and show up offline. Remember that the usage of any third-party software can result in suspensions even if it doesn't technically affect your gameplay; however, the risk of using Deceive is minimal in many peoples' experiences.

Here are all the steps you need to follow to set up Deceive to appear offline in Valorant:

  • Download Deceived from their GitHub page.
  • Check the Deceive.exe properties by creating a shortcut on your desktop
  • You'll see a new screen called Target.
  • Under the ".exe" term, add an extra space and type "valorant"

To confirm Deceive is working, log in to Valorant (or any Riot Games, for that matter); you'll see the "Deceive Active" prompt on your friend's list, which means that everything works just fine and you are showing up offline.

The process is a little tricky, and quite frankly unless you're in a desperate need to avoid being detected while playing Valorant or other Riot Games, we don't see the need to go as far as using third-party software to avoid showing up online.

Regardless, the option's right there, so now that you know how to appear offline in Valorant, enjoy the grind!
