One Breath Gaming joins Valorant esports with THEX roster

One Breath Gaming, the Russian organisation which is more recognisable for its presence in the League of Legends scene has announced they'll be dwelling into Valorant after picking up the orgless THEX squad ahead of the First Strike CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) main event.

The squad includes former CS:GO players that made the transition to Riot's tactical shooter soon after its release back in June. The members of the roster are:

  • Dmitriy "dimasick" Matvienko
  • Igor "Lee" Lee
  • Artem "Lightning" Lysenko
  • Vladislav "minse" Kuzminykh
  • Mikhail "s3mig0d" Lakhvich

The now-former THEX squad secured its spot for the First Strike CIS main event during Qualifier B after narrowly missing in Qualifier A, where Team forZe edged them out 2-1 in a match that had a playoffs spot up for grabs.

As it turns out, forZe will be their initial opponents during the single-elimination bracket for the CIS regional finals. If you want to check them out, their debut is set to happen 3rd December at 4:00 pm GMT.

All the action will be broadcasted on Valorant's Russian Twitch channel as teams fight for a piece of that $52,000 prize pool.

A question plenty of fans have been asking is whether Killjoy will be available for players to utilise during First Strike events, as Riot had to disable the Agent due to a game-breaking bug, with no official date for her return.
