This live, LAN event took place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London, and the atmosphere was absolutely electrifying. That is, in part, due to the thrilling final between last year's second-place finishers, Team Liquid, and Acend.

Here's what went down at the Red Bull Home Ground tournament, as well as the final standings.

Team Liquid wins Red Bull Home Ground

In last year's Red Bull Home Ground Invitational, Team Liquid ended as the runners up, losing to G2 Esports in the final.

In the playoffs, Team Liquid barreled through LND UTD and Tenstar to meet rivals Acend in the grand final of Red Bull Home Ground.

Team Liquid kicked off the grand final by securing victory on their home ground map of Split with a 15-13 score. While the first map was close, the second really went the distance. Acend took an early lead on Bind but Team Liquid mounted an incredible comeback from an 11-5 scoreline to push things into overtime.

Unfortunately for Liquid, Acend pulled things back and won Bind with a score of 17-15 in overtime.
