Valorant Champions Tour 2022: Schedule, format, Masters spots, and more

2021 was an exhilarating time for competitive Valorant. Seeing the debut of the first international circuit, with offline competitions culminating in an incredible Worlds-like event, Valorant Champions.

After seeing Acend crown themselves as kings of Valorant, it's time to look forward to 2022, with Riot Games giving more details about what fans can expect from VCT this time around.

Let's not keep you waiting and break down everything you need to know about the 2022 Valorant Champions Tour.

The Challenger events, which are qualification tournaments looking to determine teams that will represent the seven regions at international events, will kick off this February.

The first regions to play will be LATAM and Southeast Asia, on 10th February, with the Korea Challengers event scheduled for 23rd February.

In case you missed the announcement made by Riot Games a few months ago, this time around, there won't be three Masters events, trimming that number to just two.

This means Challenger events have also been streamlined, having two and the Last Chance Qualifier prior to Valorant Champions.

To sum things up, the VCT 2022 calendar looks like this:

  • February-March: Challengers 1
  • April: Masters 1
  • May-June: Challengers 2
  • July: Masters 2
  • September: Champions

The LCQ does not have a date set in stone, but logic dictates it should happen during August or early September.

The spots given to different regions have been shifted compared to 2021, with the likes of Brazil and North America losing some.
