Interior/Night will launch an original interactive adventure drama, As Dusk Falls, across console and PC. The developer will release the first two chapters of the game as players explore the interconnected lives of an American community caught up in a robbery.

As Dusk Falls – Release Date, Platforms, and Trailer

As Dusk Falls will launch exclusively for Xbox consoles and PC on 19th July 2022 at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 4 pm GMT. The interactive adventure drama game will be available on day one of release via Xbox Game Pass, Cloud Gaming, and Steam, with pre-installation available now for Xbox consoles.

It was first revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase last month before heading to the Tribeca Festival 2022. If you missed the trailer during the showcase, you can watch the trailer ahead of its global release.

As Dusk Falls – Gameplay features

The interactive adventure drama game is set across three decades, starting in 1998 in a small yet quaint town of Two Rock, Arizona, where a robbery-gone-wrong tears the town apart. The consequences of this busted robbery have a ripple effect in the lives of several characters in a compelling story of deception and strength amongst its community.

The game’s most notable gameplay feature is its replayability, as players learn more about the characters, uncover secrets, and make different choices that will have varying outcomes for the characters and the town.

The fate of these characters rests in the player’s hands as every decision you make, critical and trivial, will have a last impact unbeknownst to you. The decisions will have multiple options, where you can use a controller, mouse and keyboard, or mobile controls to select your choice.

Quick-time events (QTE) will appear during the game’s pivotal moments, requiring you to press the corresponding button, key, or swiping action to make a decision. Additionally, its multiplayer mode allows eight players to push the game’s narrative forward together or against each other with every decision made.

According to the developer, four players can play simultaneously on the same screen using synced controllers. Similarly, eight players can work together using multiple peripherals, including controllers and mobile devices.

As Dusk Falls is currently available for pre-purchase via Steam and can be added to your Wishlist for Steam for PC. The game will release worldwide on 19th July 2022 for Xbox consoles, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
