Dirt 5 PC system requirements and file size revealed

Dirt 5 from developer and publisher Codemasters releases on 16 October, with a next-gen console version releasing once the PS5 and Xbox Series X finally comes out. This cross-gen racing title looks incredibly detailed, which might make you wonder if your gaming rig can handle the Dirt 5 pc system requirements.

Codemasters dubs Dirt 5 as the boldest off-road racing experience yet. Your gaming rig also needs to be quite bold to meet the recommended requirements. While the minimum system requirements aren't all too low.

Since Dirt 5 is a cross-gen title, these higher-than-usual minimum PC system requirements are expected. The standout Dirt 5 PC system requirement is you need a GTX 970 or equivalent as a minimum.

The game also requires you to have 64-Bit Windows 10 (build 18362 or higher), which means those still on Windows 7 can't play it, and all eight gamers on Windows Vista should probably upgrade.

Dirt 5 file size

Compared to many other racing titles out there, as well as previous Dirt franchise titles, the Dirt 5 file size is quite big. It weighs in at a whopping 60 GB HDD space required. Sure, it isn't the biggest game ever, but it is quite hefty.

If you are running low on space, then you should prepare for this Dirt 5 file size, as those will smaller SSDs might need to make some space. Keep in mind this is the expected file size, as the Steam page does note an "HDD space requirement" of 60 GB.
