In Dying Light 2 Stay Human, advanced military technology might as well be considered ancient craftsmanship as the game is set almost 20 years after the infamous disaster with the Harran Virus which has resulted in a fall of civilisation as we know it.

That's exactly why Military Tech has such an important role in Dying Light 2, and also why it is so hard to find it.

Military Tech is essentially a material you'll use for upgrading your Nightrunner gear, such as your paraglider and grappling hook, and as such its value is insane and you will want to put your hands on as many Military Tech pieces as possible.

You will come across the first one rather early in the game, during one of the first missions with Hakon, when you'll stumble upon one in a crate you will open with the GRE key. That one you won't be able to use, as you will need to hand it over for the story reasons, but worry not, there's plenty more of them around Villedor.

Military Tech is some of the hardest-to-find resources in the game, but you will want to obtain it as much as possible, as it is necessary if you want to upgrade your gear.

Military Tech can be found in Military Airdrops, which are scattered all around the city and it is far from easy to access them.

The catch with Military Airdrops is that most of them are located atop some of the highest skyscrapers in the game, and thus you will need to put in a lot of work in order to access them.

Using the paraglider and the grappling hook is mandatory, and each location will also have some requirements you will need to fulfil if you even just want to try to reach them, such as the number of your stamina points, etc.

Military Airdrops are marked on your map with a supply drop icon (a white crate with a parachute), and you will be able to locate them with binoculars before venturing on a mission to collect them.
