It’s been three years since the Tokyo Game Show was hosted as an in-person event. Returning in September 2022, the event highlights the brightest minds across some of the most monolithic game companies like Sega, Konami, and more. It also shines the light on their newly developed and soon-to-be published games.

Tokyo Game Show 2022 (TGS 2022) runs from 15th to 18th September 2022 and features various publishers and game companies announcing their newest AAA titles. Also, TGS 2022 will see other developers unveil the latest updates and featured content coming to their beloved titles. Find out everything majorly significant you need to know about TGS 2022 below.

TGS 2022 - Xbox Announcements - Day 1

At TGS 2022, Xbox announced various games and updates coming to its Game Pass and general library for fans to relish. You can find all the announced games and their scheduled dates below.

TGS 2022 - Capcom Announcements - Day 1

Capcom Online Program has showcased various games coming to fans soon, including updates of already adored games like Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. You can find all the announcements and relevant information below.

Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 2 is kicking off on 29th September 2022, and features various added monsters wreaking havoc, acquirable weapon layers, and tons of paid DLCs featuring cosmetics, emotes, and more to be purchased. Feel free to watch the full trailer below.

Resident Evil

Capcom is bringing back some Resident Evil classics in its newly-introduced Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, launching on 28th October 2022.

The Winter's Expansion DLC will include three massive features: Shadows of the Rose (a new story exploring the side of Ethan's daughter), Mercenaries Additional Orders (a mode featuring new content and characters like Lady Alcina Dimitrescu and more), and finally a third-person mode allowing players to enjoy the game from an over-the-shoulder perspective.

Exoprimal

Capcom has revealed that Exoprimal, a third-person shooter game, will launch in 2023, with added features like characters, dinosaurs, and more. Take a look at the story trailer below.

Mega Man

Take a trip down memory lane with Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, introducing all ten games from the franchise coming to Switch, Playstation 4, and PC (Steam) in 2023. 

Street Fighter

Street Fighter 6 is the franchise's upcoming game for fans to relish. The game will feature World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub modes and will be available in 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC (Steam).

TGS 2022 - Konami - Day 2

Yu-Gi-Oh!

Konami has unveiled four Yu-Gi-Oh! games with in-game features and events coming to fans soon. Those games are Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale!! Let’s Go! Go Rush!! 

Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links are already available on mobile (iOS and Android), while Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale!! Let’s Go! Go Rush!! just arrived on Nintendo Switch. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile (iOS and Android).

Suikoden 1 and 2 Remastered

Konami's adored RPGs, Suikoden 1 and 2, will return in 2023 as HD Remastered versions. The games will be playable on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Feel free to take a look at the trailer below. 

TGS 2022 - Sega - Day 2

Sonic

The latest game in the franchise, Sonic Frontiers, is coming very soon, debuting on 8th November 2022 across PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Take a look at the official trailer below.

TGS 2022 - 505 Games - Day 2

505 Games unveiled multiple approaching games coming to gamers quite soon. Here's everything you need to know, including platform availability and release dates.

  • Serial Killers - Consoles and PC - 23rd September 2022
  • Re: Legend - Xbox - 29th September 2022
  • Asetto Corsa Competizione - Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 - 29th September 2022
  • Gunfire Reborn - Xbox - 27th October 2022

  • Eiyuden Chronicles: Rising & Hundred Heroes - 26th January 2023

  • Rogue Spirit - Early Access available - Consoles and PC - 7th March 2023.

TGS 2022 - Other Games - Day 3

Square Enix - Octopath Traveler II

As one of the more hyped-up role-playing fantasy games, Octopath Traveler II will arrive next year on 23rd February 2023. The game will be playable across PlayStation 5 and 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). Feel free to watch the full dev preview, including game footage below.

110 Industries - Wanted: Dead

During TGS 2022, the makers of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, 110 Industries, unveiled features of its newest hybrid/slasher shooter game, Wanted: Dead. The game will be coming to fans in February 2023.

D3 Publisher/Shade - SAMURAI MAIDEN

The sword-mastering, blade-fighting action game SAMURAI MAIDEN will debut in Japan on 1st December 2022 across PlayStation 5 and 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The game will be internationally released on 8th December 2022 across the aforementioned platforms and PC (Steam). Take a look at some gameplay footage below.
