Evo to hold offline event at the UFC Apex arena in November

The organizers will bring the best players from each region to compete for a total prize pool of $125k.
Despite Evo 2021 being held primarily online, the organizers announced a new offline showcase pitting the regional winners against each other set to be played this upcoming 27th and 28th November at the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas.

The Evo 2021 Showcase, as it's officially called, will pit players from North America, Latin America, Asia, and Europe to compete for the honour of being called the best in the world across the different titles available at this year's competition.

As mentioned, the Evo 2021 showcase will be played at the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas this upcoming 27th and 28th November, featuring the 40 best players from the following regions:

  • Latin America
  • North America
  • Europe
  • Asia

Two players per title from each region will make the competition, making it essentially a Top 8 to decide the winner. As a reminder, these are the games available at Evo 2021:

  • Guilty Gear Strive
  • Tekken 7
  • Skullgirls
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Street Fighter V

Evo 2021 Showcase - Prize pool

The event will feature a $125k prize pool, with each game receiving $25k. On top of this, every player will have travel and accommodation fully covered by the organizers, most likely helped by the recent Sony acquisition.
