If you are excited about the Final Fantasy VII (FF7) Remake from Square Enix, then we've got some good news to share. The Final Fantasy VII Remake pre-load will open up one week earlier than expected.

You can start your pre-load of FF7 Remake on 3rd April 2020. This comes after the announcement from Square Enix about copies being shipped earlier to Europe and Australia. This decision was taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not all PlayStation regional stores have been updated with the new pre-load date as of yet. However, you can check out the image below, showcasing the new FF7 Remake pre-load date.

Previously, the pre-load date for this highly anticipated title from Square Enix was 9 April 2020, only one day before the release date.

The decision to move up the FF7 Remake pre-load date is likely tied to Sony reducing the speed of the PlayStation Network downloads. This is due to increased server loads as countries are on lockdown all over the world.

Even though the pre-load date for the FF7 Remake has been moved up, it doesn't mean you will be able to play the game early. At the time of writing, the release date on the PlayStation Store is still 10 April 2020. This means the game will only unlock on 10 April if you purchased it digitally.

However, the new pre-load date will help those who have pre-ordered either the Digital Deluxe or Standard Edition of the FF7 Remake, so they are ready to play as soon as the game officially releases.

Those who pre-ordered the physical version of FF7 Remake in Australia seem to be in luck, as Kotaku reports the game has already broken street date with EB Games confirming to Kotaku Australia over the phone that customers could pick up the game in-store from today. According to the report, gamers across the globe are getting their hands on copies early.
