Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is an action-adventure RPG from Square Enix and is the current-gen PC port of the PlayStation 5 version of the same name. The game is based on the original highly acclaimed video game Final Fantasy VII, released in 1997, the first title in a multi-part series.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade follows ex-SOLDIER operative-turned-mercenary Cloud Strife as he attempts to destroy Mako reactors in Midgar, which are exploiting the life-blood of the planet and are operated by the Shinra Electric Power Company. With the help of the Avalanche resistance army, Cloud attempts to reshape the destiny of the whole world.

The timeless classic is rebirthed using cutting-edge graphics technology, a new battle system and an additional adventure featuring Yuffie Kisaragi. Here's everything you need to know about Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

When does Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade release?

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade releases worldwide on 16th December 2021 for the Windows PC. Fans can purchase the game exclusively via the Epic Games Store.

The original listing price was £65 | $70, although the price is currently hidden amid backlash from fans.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade: Features

Final Fantasy fans can enjoy some key features, such as 4K and HDR support for improved visuals; XInput and DirectInput compliant controller support; keyboard and mouse support; performance of up to 120 frames per second among high-end PCs.

By purchasing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intermission, players will also receive a brand-new adventure DLC episode, called "FF7R EPISODE INTERmission," whereby players can play as Wutaian ninja Yuffie Kisaragi. This character only appeared after Mdigar in the original storyline.

During the episode, Yuffie infiltrates Midgar and conspires with Avalanche HQ to steal the ultimate materia from the Shinra Electric Power Company.

Beyond this, the developers boast that players can "play alongside new characters and enjoy an expanded gameplay experience featuring multiple new combat and gameplay additions."

Square Enix also promises that the remake will bring a new perspective to the Final Fantasy VII story that die-hard fans will adore.

The additional weapons, armour, accessories, and summon players can obtain materia from the Gift Box on the main menu.
