Sony held a new 20 minutes long March 2022 State of Play event that came loaded with some unexpected game announcements. While there weren't any big reveals like the rumoured Resident Evil 4 Remake or a new Silent Hill game, there were still announcements that stood out and felt right at home during a State of Play event.
Aside from giving an update on some hotly anticipated titles like GhostWire: Tokyo and Forspoken, the latest State of Play event unveiled 7 brand new games. Without further ado, here's everything announced during the March 2022 State of Play event.
Exoprimal is a brand new multiplayer co-op IP from Capcom in which two teams of 5 battle it out against hordes of Dinosaurs in a futuristic world. While very little is known of its story and gameplay at the moment, Exoprimal looks a lot similar to Bioware's infamous live-service title Anthem. Exoprimal will release in 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Square Enix revealed a brand new Valkyrie game called Valkyrie Asylum, which will release later this year on PC, PS4, and PS5. Valkyrie Asylum is an action RPG featuring fast-paced hack and slash style combat, set in a fantasy world where Ragnarok serves as an impending threat to civilization.
The Diofield Chronicle
Another new game announcement from Square Enix came in the form of The Diofield Chronicle, a strategy RPG coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R
An All-Star Battle Royal game featuring over 50 characters from the acclaimed Anime series, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, is releasing in fall 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Gundam Evolution is a free to play 6v6 FPS in which you pilot Mobile Suites from the acclaimed Anime series Gundam.
According to the official PlayStation Blog, Bandai Namco is holding a closed network test for the same on PS4 and PS5, restricted to North America.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection
In what could be the most unexpected announcements of them all, Konami, Nickelodeon, and Digital Eclipse are collaborating to bring 13 classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games as part of The Cowabunga Collection later this year.
The Cowabunga collection costs $39.99 and will release on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Gigabash is a 4-player arena brawler coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. Developed by Passion Republic Games, it launches sometime in early 2022.
