Gex Is Returning To End The Entire Gaming Industry

The legend is returning. That's right, Gex is returning in a brand new remake.

Limited Run Games announced yesterday that the Gex Trilogy will be developed using its Carbon Engine technology, and will launch on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X/S. There's currently no release window for the game, though we do know that the trilogy will collect Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko.

With the recent wave of remastered and remade mid 90's platformers in packages such as Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, it was inevitable that Gex would receive a remake at some point. Gex was the company mascot for Crystal Dynamics until he simply vanished from gaming as a whole, becoming a myth, a legend in the eyes of those who remembered him. But now he's back, and he's going to be better than ever before.
