How long is The Last of Us Part 2?

Everyone and their pet Clicker should be excited for the upcoming PS4 exclusive The Last of Us Part 2. If you plan on taking off from work, or fake an illness to jump into the game, you should probably know how long The Last of Us Part 2 is.

How long is Last of Us Part 2

For those who would love to know how long they should take off to play The Last of Us Part 2, and beat the game, here's a quick rundown of how long it should take.

  • Critical story path - Between 25 and 27 hours.
  • Main story and extras - Between 30 and 35 hours.

Keep in mind, however, it also depends on player skill, and which difficulty you choose to play the game on. The times to beat The Last of Us Part 2 below is for standard difficulty.

Above standard, you get Hard and Survivor difficulty levels. Depending on player skill, you can add between 5 and 10 hours to the game.

These times, of course, do not include those who prefer to blow past everything, or even attempt to speedrun the game. The estimation of how long The Last of Us Part 2 takes to beat was taken from several reviews.

There are also tonnes of collectables to find in the game. If you don't find all of them in your first playthrough, you can always go back in with New Game+ mode, select the chapter of your choosing, and proceed to collect everything you've missed out on.

This should not only double the time if you decide to undertake a New Game+ run of The Last of Us Part 2 but finding all the collectables could add another five hours or more to the game's length.

The Last of Us Part 2 releases on 19th June exclusively on PS4, and judging by review scores, it could just be the best PS4 exclusive to date.
