Here's everything you need to know about the announcement of the upcoming Marvel and Disney September Games Showcase.
Marvel And Disney Announce September Games Showcase

2022 has been an exciting year for video games on the whole and it seems even as we enter the tail end of the year, we are still getting more to be excited about. As Disney will be launching the massive D23 Expo where we are expecting to see many announcements about all the upcoming Disney and Marvel films and most notably, games.

So let's take a look at everything we know so far about the D23 Expo and what we can expect to see once the event airs. We will also let you in on exactly when and where you can tune into the event once it begins.

During the event, projects from Disney & Pixar Games, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, and 20th Century Games will be on display. Previously announced games such as Disney Dreamlight Valley and Marvel's Midnight Suns, as well as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, will be featured at the event.

Aside from these projects, viewers can expect to see the new Marvel ensemble game in development at Skydance New Media. Officially, very little is known about this Marvel game, but it has been revealed that Amy Hennig is working on it.

Hennig was a key figure in major games such as the original Uncharted trilogy, Jak 3, the Legacy of Kain games, and others, so her Marvel project is highly anticipated. And will likely be a huge title to look forward to.

Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games was announced last September, and despite a 2023 release date, little has been said about it since. Insomniac is also working on a Wolverine game, and a digital card game called Marvel Snap is currently in beta and waiting for an official release date, so we might see more of these titles once the event rolls around.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one conspicuously absent game. The highly anticipated sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, takes place five years after Cal Kestis' original adventure. Of course, it's possible that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be shown during the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase but has yet to be named, so fans should keep that in mind.

Another major Disney video game project that hasn't been mentioned is the Indiana Jones game currently in development at MachineGames, so perhaps fans will get another look at that at D23 as well. So there is definitely a lot to look forward to once D23 goes live next month, so be sure to check back here for more news on the event as we get closer to it.
