New Nintendo Console Seemingly Appears On Developer Portal

A new Nintendo console has seemingly appeared on the Nintendo Developer Portal, leading to speculation that we could be seeing information from Nintendo's next console soon.

The information comes from popular Nintendo board Famiboards, with a screenshot posted over on that site which shows the NX 2 above the Nintendo Switch, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS as potential platforms that you can create a game on. 

The original Nintendo Switch appeared just before the console was announced, around a month before official word came through on the Nintendo Switch itself. This means that we could be seeing an official announcement of a Switch successor sooner rather than later.

It is important to note that the poster of this hasn't really backed up their source here, so there's a fairly decent chance that it could be fake. Still, any news is absolutely tantalizing to Nintendo fans who are waiting with extremely bated breath for the next iteration of the Nintendo Switch, and wondering when exactly this current Nintendo generation will end.
