NFL's Detroit Lions reveal their 2020 schedule through Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In recent years, the NFL schedule reveal has become an event of its own with many teams looking for creative and unique ways to present their fans with what's ideally the path to a Super Bowl win.

This year, despite the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the organisations didn't want to let the newly adopted tradition die an early death, with all of them showing their schedules with various fun videos via social media.

One of the big winners were the Detroit Lions. Showcasing their season schedule for the 20/21 season with a video inspired by Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

 
With several nifty references spread out throughout the video, our favourite is definitely the Week 6 one, bringing in Netflix's hit show Tiger King into the fold to portray the match between the Lions and the Carolina Panthers.

Some were simply straight out callouts, like the one against the Chicago Bears, equating a couple of teddy bears to a garbage can

On top of this, the Lions social media went a step further by creating some in-game jerseys for fans to download and wear while they're out and about enjoying their islands.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been an instant hit for Nintendo, and the creativity people show with the tools the game gives you never cease to amaze us, ranging from marriage proposals to Queer Eye's interior designer giving free advice on how to arrange your in-game homes, we can’t wait to see what fans can come up with next.
 

How to download the Detroit Lions merchandise (and others) in Animal Cross: New Horizons

In case you're curious about the process, it's really simple. First off, you need to build the Able Sisters Tailor Shop, in order to do this, you must have Nook's Cranny already built. Don't worry, as it's one of the first buildings you need to progress, it's fairly easy to obtain.

Once you have Nook's Cranny, Mable will show up, soon after, she'll be set up in front of the Resident Services building. Buy as many clothing items from her as possible. Eventually, she'll task you with picking a spot for the Able Sisters Tailor Shop.

Once you pick the place you want to build the shop, wait two days and you can access it.

On the upper right corner of the store, simply access the station and input the Design ID of any clothing you'd like to acquire free of charge. Remember that you need an active Nintendo Switch Online Subscription for the station to pop up.
